Wow, it looks a bit like a Western movie I’ve seen… the one with Peter Fonda?? Ah, which one is that exactly? I can’t remember. But pick a Western (any Western) and there is probably one of those shots in it, especially the one of Monument Valley. The glyphs are miraculous. Is there any sort of indication as to which tribe was responsible or how old they are?
No, but before they put a fence up a couple of decades ago, visitors put their own graffiti on the wall. So the prehistoric stuff has a bunch of imitation glyphs along the edges.
Hmm, well that must get confusing. Which is real? Which is graffitti? But then again, I guess they’re ALL real. Some are just quite a bit younger than others. And yet… is anything real? Truly? Isn’t life all just maya anyway? (…and I don’t mean the ancient native tribe down in Mexico…)
